About ‘Sand waves frozen in motion’ by Color Square

abstract composition in which organic shapes seem to rise fluidly from a flat surface. Like a gently undulating fabric or a carved landscape layer, the shapes move from top right to centre in a rhythm of shadow and light. The sculptural lines suggest movement and depth, while the matt, beige ground offers stability and stillness.

The use of colour is minimal but effective: warm tones of beige and sand are enhanced by light, making the relief stand out even more. The harmony between the fluid contours and tight surfaces makes this work intriguing and soothing at the same time.
