About the artwork

A young Scottish Highlander stands quietly in the tall, winter pale grass of the Scharreveld near Westerbork. The misty light background and soft colours emphasise the tranquillity of this Drenthe landscape. This ox's long, shaggy coat and impressive horns stand out beautifully against the light tones of the heath and field.

The Scharreveld is a varied nature reserve with heathland, fens and woods, where herds of highlanders are used for natural grazing. These animals help preserve the open heath landscape and ensure that young saplings do not prevail. This preserves the character of this ancient cultural landscape.

The photo breathes silence and power at the same time: a moment of peace in nature, in which man and animal seem to balance each other.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
