What I find interesting about street/documentary photography is that you are able to capture dull moments from everyday life and try to tell a story with them, and to walk with your eyes open paying attention to what is happening around you.
In this case the cat was shadowing the woman as it was following here wherever she went, and at the same time stayed in her shadow. So the title is a little bit a play on words.
This is one of my favourite photos of mine, there is a way in which her hair falls down and is lit by the sun, how the cat is hiding by being in her shadow, how she seems clueless of what is going one and is just quietly reading her book, and how the sun flare shines down into them, bathing them in sunlight, that always makes me want to keep looking at it.
