About ‘Shadows and reflections’ by Aukelien Philips

As I love black and white, as well as shadows and the interplay of lines, this piece came into being. The sun actually does most of the work; I simply choose a position for the objects and decide how to photograph them, but the sun is a key factor in creating this sort of image. Here, we have a champagne glass and a small drinking glass. Together, they now form a unified whole that makes for a good composition. The ridges in the glasses create a special effect that makes the image interesting. This photo would look good, for example, in a kitchen, or in a corner of the living room where the drinks fridge is kept, as wall art. It would also look good in a restaurant. I took the photo at home with my Canon EOS R6 Mark III and the 24–70mm lens. There is a lot of contrast in the photo, which really brings out the black and white.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
