Ships at sea en route to port.
The ships enter the port by sea. The pilot on board together with the mate or captain pilot the ship in. How impressive it is to see a ship arrive by sea.
Especially the empty ships they are high on the water and with a bubbling bow wave they come at speed towards the piers. The pier of IJmuiden in this case.
The ship on the horizon is waiting for an anchor ground in the North Sea. It is late afternoon the wind is picking up the tide has turned. This ship enters the harbor at high tide. The sea fumes are also coming on the photographing becomes a challenge.
Raw and the harbor as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is another world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships the people the landscape it continues to fascinate me.
