The setting sun gives a nice backlight and a silver waterway. And a glow in the rising sea mist.
I was photographing from Hoek van Holland and liked the idea of using the backlight. The setting sun the fog gave me the idea to photograph silhouette.
The special image of the silhouettes of the ships and cranes disappearing into the sea and fog gives a special effect. The port of Rotterdam often detailed now enigmatic. Do you recognize the contours of the Maasvlakte ?
Raw and the port as it is, the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The port is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always in motion. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
