The ship being maneuvered backwards into the harbor at IJmuiden. The hull has a palette of colors and its damage from the voyages and the harbors. Here in IJmuiden at the headland the ship enters the harbor empty. The landscape of the harbor is like a work of art. The black and red lets the ground layers shine through.

I find the landscape of the port a fascinating pallet just like a painting which is different every time. Another ship another day with a different light produces beautiful images and photographs. Raw edges and materials for on the wall as wallpaper or as a painting.
I saw the ship passing by and I always look at the drawn and dented hull of the ship and that always inspires new pictures. Edited or unedited. The rawness of the harbor inspires me every time.
