About ‘Short canal historic Amersfoort’ by Watze D. de Haan

Between the Koppelpoort and Monnickendam a canal runs through the centre of historic Amersfoort. The longest part of that canal is the Lange Gracht and the shortest part is the Korte Gracht. On the picture you see a part of the short canal with a view on the fish market. On the Korte Gracht lies the Mondriaan museum (left). This autumn photo has been edited to create a timeless image. The Korte Gracht continues to Monnickendam and ends there. While wandering through this special city you come across this, a museum on the square kilometer.
