About the artwork

On a trip through the Broekpolder in Vlaardingen, I found myself once again fascinated by the majestic Scottish Highlanders. These imposing animals, in shades of brown and black, are an integral part of the landscape at the Ruigte. While the calm females were caring for their calves, a showdown between two bulls caught my attention.

The intensity of this scene was both impressive and commanding of respect. The bulls, with their robust bodies and powerful horns, faced each other head-on, with intense gazes that reflected their determination. The strength with which they approached each other made it clear that this was not a game you want to come between. Fortunately, I had my telephoto lens handy to capture this moment from a safe distance.

This photo not only embodies the raw beauty of nature, but also shows the strength and dynamism of life in the Broekpolder. It is a reminder of the balance between serene moments and the untamed energy of wildlife.

This shot is part of the Villa Joep Collection 2022. My entire commission will be donated to Villa Joep Foundation, an organisation dedicated to fighting childhood neuroblastoma cancer. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
