In the middle of Sigmaringen on the southern edge of the Swabian Alb, the princely palace of the German noble family Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen stands on a ridge in the Danube valley. The rock falls north and east and so the castle towers up to 35 m above the Danube. From the Mühlberg on the other side of the Danube valley you have this beautiful view of the former Royal Palace.
