This work was inspired by the Indonesian fairy tale: The Miraculous Shepherd Boy.
A story about a talented boy, who drew a young woman so realistically that everyone believed, she was really alive.
The king wanted nothing more, than to marry this young woman. And could not believe, that the picture, was a fantasy.
This picture was taken in one shot, using seven exposures.
Martijn: "This illustration has become a self-portrait for me", because I recognise myself in the shepherd boy.
