Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Silent Welcome’ by Alexander Aboud

This fine art photograph was captured during my first day after moving to Schwelm, Germany. While exploring the nearby forest, I was immediately drawn to the peaceful atmosphere and the soft sunlight filtering naturally through the tall trees. The narrow path disappearing into the woods gave me the feeling of stepping into a completely new chapter of life.

What makes this photograph special to me is the emotional connection behind the moment. It represents both uncertainty and hope — the quiet experience of arriving in a new city and finding comfort in nature. The forest felt calm, welcoming, and timeless, and I wanted to preserve that authentic feeling exactly as I experienced it.

The image is filled with rich green tones, natural textures, and warm light that create a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Small details such as the bark of the trees, scattered leaves, and the gentle rays of sunlight add depth and realism to the scene. The perspective invites the viewer to imagine walking along the forest path and experiencing the silence personally.

This photograph was captured using natural forest light without artificial staging, allowing the atmosphere and mood of the location to remain completely authentic. For me, the artwork symbolizes new beginnings, reflection, and the quiet connection between people and nature.
