"Simple rural tranquillity: Caught in a web" is an extreme macro photo of a single tuft of a beautiful fluffy bulb of a Tragopogon. A Tragopogon is related to the common Dandelion. In fact, they both belong to the Composite family. This plant, the Tragopogon, is also called Morning Star in the Netherlands.
I have given this photo the title "caught in a web" because the structure of this fluff reminds me of a kind of spider's web, in which lots of little water droplets "seem to be caught".
Because of the small depth of field I chose when taking this photo, you see part of the fluff with water droplets sharp, and where the fluff deflects further back (and forward), it gradually fades. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see what I mean.
To my mind, the colours help create a rural feel. The (light) brown tones such as beige and taupe give a natural, calm, warm feel to this picture.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration, (on aluminium, canvas or ArtFrame, for example) in the bedroom, dining room or just above the sofa!
And of course also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office, waiting room or practice room!
