About ‘Simplicity in softness’ by Nadia Feys

In this work, a spent bud appears, a remnant of once open splendour, as if caught in a moment of silence. Against a deep, matte black background, the bud outlines itself sharply - only contour lines, shadows and the finest edges remain visible. The petals are retracted, shrinking into abstract shapes, like an organic sculpture against darkness.

The light falls directionally, subtly, from the side - not to illuminate, but to highlight - the texture, the nervatures, the soft relief in the old leaf material. In that limited glow, a play between presence and absence emerges: what is lost yet what remains becomes visible in form and silhouette.

The atmosphere is subdued, serious, almost mystical: the image invites reflection on transience and beauty in waning light. The black background offers space, few distractions, so the attention remains fully with the bud - with its story of decay and quiet dignity.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
