This photo of the skyline of Deventer was taken on an evening in December 2013.
Deventer is a city, municipality and old Hanseatic town in the east of the Netherlands and in the southwest of the province of Overijssel. The city is situated at the river IJssel. The church that can be seen, is called the Great or Lebuïnus church. This church was founded in the 15th and 16th centurie. The name Lebuïnus belongs to an English missionary who crossed the river IJssel in 768 and decided to build a wooden church on a river dune. The buildings in the foreground belong to the Well Quay.
This photo was taken using a tripod and remote. The shutter speed used is 30 seconds and the aperture f16.
