Slab for the Ruhr
Not a tree, not a shrub can be found on the plateau of the Schurenbachhalde in Essen. The emptiness, however, has a concept. Because in this way, the view of the summit's owner concentrates on two things above all: great art - in the true sense of the word - and a fantastic panoramic view of the Ruhr region.
Lonely and monumental, the slab rises from the barren gravel landscape. Almost 15 meters high, weighing around 70 tons and anchored more than 13 meters deep in the ground: a steeply rising landmark as a visible sign of structural change.
