When we go to sleep, we turn our heads away.
We are in need of rest now that the sun is shielding itself.
That calmness reflects very nicely in this image.
Usually you see sunflowers photographed in full sun.
All these little heads turned away from me I liked.
This is an analogue black and white photo.
I usually had black and white film in my camera. A wide landscape of sunflowers in Italy.
The photo was taken on a Tri X film and developed so that you get a nice grain.
As a result, the image becomes picturesque especially when enlarged.
Now the negative has been digitised to secure it for the future.
After already a very long career as a photographer, I am now cleaning up my archive.
Some of my work is analogue and is being digitised.
For years, I have been working as a garden and interior photographer and published in all kinds of beautiful, national and international magazines.
