About ‘Small church on Schokland’ by Jan van Dasler
This is the small church on the former island in the 'Zuiderzee', Schokland. It used to be an island, but now it is surrounded by land because of the land reclamation by the Dutch. It was the first UNESCO world heritage site in the Netherlands. Nowadays only 5 people live on this former island.

I am Jan and travel around the world for about 200 days a year. During my travels I always have my camera with me and try to capture as many special places as possible. I prefer to photograph street life, portraits and skylines. But I also find wildlife particularly challenging. I also have a part of my street and portrait images on Instagram, so feel free to visit!
