The Ijen is a still working volcano in the east of Java. The volcano is known, among other things, for the workers who extract sulphur from the crater under hellish conditions. To the right of the rugged lunar landscape, the deep blue sulphur lake at the bottom of the crater is shimmering through the sulphur fumes.
The photo was taken at sunrise on 14 October 2016 in Java.
