About ‘Sogndalsstrand, Norway’ by Adelheid Smitt

On the south coast of Norway, in Rogaland province lies this very pretty colorful village. It is a popular tourist destination. In the past this was a thriving trading center of mostly fish. There were many more inhabitants then, than now. At the beginning of the 20th century it went downhill with the town because the fish was now transported by road and no longer came through Sogndalsstrand. People moved away and a ghost town remained, until in more recent years there was new interest in this town and everything has been restored. Today it is a popular destination for tourists.

I got my first camera on my 8th birthday. Now, many cameras later, I have ended up with a 'full-frame' mirrorless camera and my passion for photography has become an important part of my life.
I travel a lot, all over the world, and like to photograph landscapes as well as cities in the blue hour. I hope that my images can inspire you and I would love it if my love for photography can finally make it to your wall.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
