About ‘Splashes of colour in Reitdiephaven’ by Stadspronk

Reitdiephaven, perhaps the most photogenic part of Groningen, comes alive in this painting with its characteristic colourful houses, bobbing boats and a lively play of colour, light and reflection. In the 1990s, I worked in photo labs and printed thousands of photos a year for photographers, journalists, real estate agents, artists, vacationers and hobbyists. Even then, the passion for the perfect picture was there to ensure the right print as the creator minimally intended.
