A photo of a group of spoonbills. I was in Oostvaardersplassen and saw a group of spoonbills landing in front of the hut from one of the observation huts. The photo was taken in September when the sun was low. The water was illuminated by the sun which made it possible to take this High Key photo. With the spoonbills also white and a few details like the beak and legs in colour completes the photo! The photo shows two young spoonbills. You can recognise these by the beak. The beak of an adult spoonbill is orange-red, unlike that of a young spoonbill which has no colour in its beak yet. The photo shows five spoonbills. Can you spot the fifth? This photo also hangs on my wall. I chose to make the wall where the photo hangs dark warm brown. That way the photo comes out more beautifully. The photo gives a huge plus to my interior. I hope this photo can do the same for you. It gives a nice glimpse of the beautiful nature we have in the Netherlands.
