Unfortunately, there are not many butterflies, damselflies and dragonflies in my area. So if I want to photograph these creatures I have to drive a long time and go out early to be able to photograph them. After that, the light gets too harsh and they also get too active.
So when I recently found this Small White (Pieris rapae) under the dew drops near my house, I was as happy as a child. The butterfly had chosen a nice spot between the fluff of a Dandelion. And there it waited until the sun had evaporated the dew drops and warmed its body enough to spread its wings and fly away.
A few years ago I started to delve into photography a bit more and by now it can be called a passion.I photograph everything that strikes me in a positive way. Landscapes, animals and occasionally architecture or portraits.... But my preference is still nature photos, especially macro.. Read more…
