Spring: Apple blossom in full bloom with a thick palette knife texture by Studio Pieternel

● Exclusive design for Werk aan de Muur / Art Heroes

This piece (an original adaptation of my own photographic work) depicts a lush branch with apple blossom in full bloom, captured in a dynamic and fresh composition. Using a style characterised by thick layers of paint and bold palette knife strokes, a rich, tactile texture is created in which the light plays beautifully on the petals.

The fresh combination of white-pink blossoms, bright pink buds and vibrant green leaves contrasts beautifully against the pastel-coloured, layered background.

The artwork falls within the category of abstract-realistic floral art, utilising impasto and palette-mouillé techniques. With its fresh, spring-like feel, rich texture and vibrant colour palette, this design fits perfectly with current interior design trends. It fits perfectly into a modern, Scandinavian or eclectic interior, where it creates a cheerful and stylish focal point above a sofa, sideboard or in the bedroom.

With this design, you’ll bring an energetic and atmospheric centrepiece into your home that instantly infuses any room with the fresh magic of spring. This artwork is available in almost any size, and there’s a choice of many high-quality finishes, such as: Wallpaper, Canvas, ArtFrame, Aluminium, Acrylic glass, Photo print.
