The Werk aan de Groeneweg, a fortification built during the interbellum between the two world wars to reinforce the outdated Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie with bunkers and trenches. Constructed for war, it is now a beautiful and peaceful location, especially on a beautiful spring morning like this.
With morning mist, blossom on the old fruit trees and flowering rapeseed in the foreground, this windless morning produced beautiful reflections in the small lakes that are part of the defence line.
