About ‘St Bavo Church Haarlem’ by Alida Stam-Honders

'John with the high shoulders' was named Grote of Sint Bavo church because the tower is quite small compared to the rest of the building. This is Haarlem's largest church. This medieval Gothic church was built between 1370 and 1520 on top of a burnt down smaller church.
