About ‘St Bernard dogs in Zermatt’ by Erika Kaisersot

Zermatt is one of Switzerland’s most famous mountain villages. Towering high above the village is the majestic Matterhorn, whose striking silhouette has captivated visitors from all over the world for generations. Sunny terraces, traditional chalets and the crisp mountain air create an atmosphere of tranquillity and alpine cosiness.

At the centre of this illustration sits a friendly St Bernard on a terrace with a breathtaking view of the Swiss Alps. In front of him, a classic cheese fondue is bubbling away – one of the best-known specialities of Swiss cuisine. Together, the dog, the landscape and the cuisine tell a little travel story that captures the charm of a relaxing day in the mountains.

The nostalgic style is reminiscent of historic travel posters and combines stunning nature, regional traditions and Switzerland’s warm hospitality. This design brings the magic of the Alps into every home and stirs a longing for mountains, hikes and cosy mountain huts.
