About ‘St Coloman in Schwangau’ by Christina Bauer Photos

What a feast for the eyes and a popular destination, as well as sought-after motif for photographers. But it is also wonderfully idyllic, the baroque St Colomanskirche near Schwangau, not far from Neuschwanstein Castle. In the background, the impressive Schwangau mountains, forests and colorful trees. The autumn light gives the image a golden touch, that radiates gentle warmth. This place is usually very busy, so there have been days when I have not even stopped on my way to Füssen. But there are always quiet moments when you can really enjoy this magical sight and also get a nice photo. Despite everything, this motif is simply beautiful and picturesque.
