About ‘St. Lambertus church (Hardenberg/Heemse)’ by WILBERT HEIJKOOP photography

The spot where the church now stands has been a place of meaning and religion for hundreds of years. Originally, this was a Saxon place of sacrifice. The large boulder that lies in front of the church was probably used as a sacrificial stone. There is a legend about this that tells of a young man who was to be sacrificed here and that Saint Lebuïnus prevented this.

Between 750 and 762, the missionaries Lebuïnus and Marcellinus are said to have founded a Christian church here. The wooden chapel was replaced shortly after 1200 by a building made of iron masonry. It is not entirely clear whether the tower was also built in the thirteenth century or only in the fifteenth century with stones that were freed up by a major rebuilding. The baptismal font present in the church does date from the thirteenth century. The church was dedicated to Lambert of Maastricht until 1610[1].

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
