About the artwork

In Stars of Hope, Michael Albano captures an intimate and moving scene from his childhood on the streets. The painting shows a street child carefully and diligently crafting a star - a handmade parol, the traditional Filipino Christmas star. For many street children in Cebu, this is not just a decoration, but a chance to earn a little money by selling them around the Santo Niño church.

Michael manages to capture the atmosphere of perseverance and hope with warm, vibrant colours. The child's hands work meticulously on the star, while in the background the soft glow of candlelight creates a sense of security. The child's eyes radiate both focus and a quiet wish: the hope that this star will produce a meal, a day without hunger.

In the Philippines, the parol symbolises light in darkness and hope for a better future. This painting reminds us how resilient children can be, even in the most difficult circumstances. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
