About the artwork

In Creativity from the Street, Michael Albano captures an intimate and recognisable scene from his childhood. The painting shows a street boy, deeply concentrated as he crafts an object from palm tree branches with his hands. For many street children in Cebu, this was not a simple activity, but a necessity - a way to create something tangible that they could sell on the city's busy streets. With nothing but their ingenuity and perseverance, they made simple toys, decorations or utensils, hoping for a few pesos to get through the day.

Michael's brushstrokes bring to life not only the image but also the feelings of the moment. The boy is enveloped in the soft, natural light of the afternoon, which subtly highlights the texture of the palm leaves and the roughness of his worn clothing. The city shimmers in the background, but the boy is in his own world - a world where creativity and survival go hand in hand.

This painting is more than a memory; it is a tribute to the resilience and perseverance of street children. Where others see waste, they see opportunity. Where others see only poverty, they show how the human spirit, even in the most difficult circumstances, always finds ways to create, dream and move forward.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
