During steam train days, this steam train from Museum Buurt Spoorweg runs back and forth between Haaksbergen station and Boekelo station several times. Pictured here, it is on its way to Boekelo station and has just left Haaksbergen behind.
The 'Kikker' shown here was built in 1901 by the Machinefabriek Breda. It was nicknamed 'Kikker' because of its poison green colour.
I personally thought it looked a bit more nostalgic by printing it in black and white with a light coloured accent on the red bumper at the front.
Photographing slightly from the bottom of the embankment diagonally upwards longitudinally makes it easy to see the mechanical masterpiece, and the length of the coaches benefits the composition.
Of course, the photo should not be missing in any (former) workshop. But also in an office garden, brown café or restaurant with a link to days gone by, this picture will do well.
