I love photography. But also art, design and antiques. How nice when you can combine these! Andries Copier's art deco vase is from my own collection. This so-called Flora vase was produced by the Leerdam Glass Factory and dates from around 1938.
I edit my photos's in Photoshop. Sometimes I mix my own photos's with existing (copyright-free) material or my own ideas. I leave existing material (paintings, drawings, litho's, etc.) in their original state as much as possible. Any imperfections therefore remain visible when I find it of added value.
Everyone looks at art in their own way. To influence this as little as possible, I leave it up to the viewer what his or her thoughts or feelings are about it. I don't want to steer in emotions or preferences, for example; everyone is allowed to experience their own findings. I want to give people the chance to give their own interpretation, to make the work their 'own' own. Of course, I also pay attention to aesthetics. After all, a work has to be decorative and/or attractive.
I am a photographer as well as a copywriter. I enjoy language, images and art. As a photographer, I am self-taught. I studied at the School for Photography in Breda to develop myself further. My current work can be described as digital art. I mix my own photos.. Read more…
