"Still life with flowers: The hydrangea petal" is a macro photo of a hydrangea leaf that has already partially decayed, allowing you to see beautifully the vein structure of the leaf. If you zoom in on the work, you can see that two leaves only have a vein structure and the third leaf is very fragile and thin, so you can also see the veins beautifully.
The colours give this work a warm feel. The many different shades of brown (beige, taupe and sometimes almost golden), among others, ensure this. The background is dark brown, and the leaf reflects in the ground.
When taking this photo, I chose a shallow depth of field. the further back you look, the blurrier the leaf becomes. This (together with the lighting) creates depth in the work.
This work could, for example, beautifully hang as a wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or simply above the couch in the living room! Also beautiful on the wall in a meeting room (business).
