About ‘Still life with one branch’ by Koos Hageraats
An image doesn't have to be fully filled to say much. This branch says it all just by bending to the light.
This is how a still life can achieve maximum results with minimal means. A tranquil frame around it and you have a picture on the wall that never ceases to amaze you with the simplicity of its slender stature.

From 1989 to 2019 I worked in the publishing industry, and from 2007 I started photographing. Over time I have focused on portraits, landscapes, still life and - my favorite way of photography - icm. In these different forms of photography I am always looking for new and deeper layers. I do not so much want to depict reality as it is visible, I try to show in my photographs which reality also exists: one that is even more beautiful than the real one.
