About ‘Storm and sun in Scheveningen’ by Julien Beyrath

In February 2022, the storm Eunice generated winds of more than 120 km/h on the Dutch coast. Here, the south pier of the Hague harbor was tested like rarely.
In addition to the wind, a ray of sunshine brought a unique dynamism to the scene.
Taking this picture was a serious challenge, being windy and sandy, it was hard to stay…

As far back as I can remember in my childhood, I have always been positively affected by the contact with the wilderness, even more so when I met the wildlife. Somewhere along the way I lost this contact with nature. Nevertheless, starting photography was a trigger and a motivation for me to dive back into it, to reconnect and relive those childhood…
