The strohalsibis (Threskiornis spinicollis) is a bird of the family of ibis and spoonbills (Threskiornithidae). He lives in Australia, New Guinea and parts of Indonesia. Adults have characteristic straw-like feathers on their necks. Straw stalks are large birds, they are about 60-75 cm long. They have dark wings with a multicolored sheen and have a dark back and collar. Most of the neck is white. Their legs are usually red at the top and dark grey downwards. It owes its name to the straw-like feathers on the neck of the adult birds.
