During a trip to my mother's roots, we climbed the Bromo volcano in Java, Indonesia, at 4 am 'in the morning. Every minute the light changed and this was a beautiful moment for me. The dew in the volcano itself, the skimming light of the rising sun. There was something mysterious about it. I remember everyone was silent.
Every photo of me was taken "in the moment'. A moment that will probably never come back. Often I only have one chance to take a picture. Details can therefore have movement. What matters to me is the atmosphere and the unique moment, the colours and the contrast.
My photos are made 'in the moment'. One moment that may not come back due to a confluence of circumstances. There can (almost never) be a second same photo taken. I don't think too much, sometimes the photo is perfect at the press of a button. I also edit.. Read more…
