About the artwork

Salo is a town and municipality in the province of Brescia in the Lombardy region (northern Italy) on the shores of Lake Garda, where it has the longest promenade.

Salò is sheltered on a deep bay on the western side of Lake Garda, surrounded by green hills and overlooking water that is often mirror-smooth. The town is relatively compact, with a mix of historic buildings, well-kept squares and a strikingly long lakeside promenade - one of the longest on Lake Garda.

The promenade is the heart of city life: strollers, cyclists, families and tourists walk along the waterfront, where small boats moor and cafés turn their chairs towards the lake. The atmosphere is relaxed, less exuberant than in some other places on Lake Garda.

Salò's centre has an elegant character, with shops, old alleys and monuments that hint at its rich history - including as a temporary centre of power during World War II. The Duomo (cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata) is a striking Gothic building, while modern elements are subtly integrated into the streetscape.

Salò attracts visitors looking for tranquillity, culture and well-kept city life on the waterfront. It is not a nightlife town, but rather a place for long walks, good meals and a sense of timelessness by the lake.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
