All day it was rain, hail and sunshine. That could mean we would get a beautiful sunset. I had set my sights on the dike right behind us. From Uitwierde, you cycle under a small tunnel and come out at the dike.
It was sloping water, the water level would be at its lowest around 23:00. There was hardly any wind which made for a beautiful reflection over the Wadden Sea.
The Ems is part of the Wadden Sea and lies between Germany and Groningen.
The combination of these weather conditions made it visible on one of the piers.
