After a long walk along the Opal Coast in Pas-de-Calais (northern France), there is a good chance of a reward when the sun goes down. It is always exciting then whether there will be a beautiful colour spectacle. You never have that certainty. This photo shows a fine example of a successful colourful sunset. The photo was taken at the seaside town of Wimereux just above Boulogne-sur-Mer on the Opal Coast.
Especially at low tide, the reflections in the low backwater at sunset make impressive images. The cloudscapes then also provide impressive images, especially when the sunlight still touches the underside of the clouds. You keep photographing then, every moment is different.
