About ‘Sunset at Lac aux Dames, Samoëns, France’ by Yvette J. Meijer

Lac aux Dames is located in the valley of the Giffre River near Samoëns in Haute-Savoie. Surrounded by the mountains, it is a beautiful place. The two lakes are connected, in one you can fish, at the other there is a beach and you can swim and paddle. At night it is empty and the sunset is always different and often special.

On the evening when I took this photo, sight clouds were forming after a long hot summer day. The cumulonimbus clouds were lit from below during the sunset, making the sky look like a soft blanket. The reflection on the water made it a complete picture. Because the water was virtually ripple-free that evening, you can even see the details of the pine trees reflected in the water.

I have had this photo as my desktop background on my laptop for quite some time now. I'm sure it will also look wonderful on your wall.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
