The serenity of the sea during a sunset attracts me. I can enjoy the serenity and the colours in the light. In August, the sun's intensity is already waning a bit, giving a more pleasant atmosphere.
Around me, I can hear the seagulls and the rustling of the wind. Curiously, there are few people to be seen on the little beach. The Swedes are no longer on holiday and have largely returned home, leaving some Dutch and German tourists behind.
I moved several times for this photo because I wanted the stones in the right place. The water was cold and clear. in some places you can see through it a bit.
The sun drops quickly, so you don't have too much time to make your choices. Using an ND filter, I used slower shutter speeds to make the sea even flatter. This creates a quieter image, which I personally find pleasing. Minimalist, yet not quite so.
I have over 15 years of experience as a photographer, both in real estate and landscape photography. I now live in Sweden and have a great love for photography in the Nordic countries.
