On the evening safari in North Serengeti, we were just half an hour away from camp when the sky began to cloud over and just after that the gates of heaven opened and we were caught in a gigantic downpour. Our guide immediately zipped up the jeep's tarpaulin and there was no option but to head back towards camp through the slippery mudslide. Arriving at the tent, the skies began to open up a bit again and in the 10 minutes that followed, it was briefly a very beautiful combination of dark clouds and an ultimate African-coloured sunset. The only nice foreground nearby were the rocks, and without a tripod, with the last drizzle managed to take this photo
