About ‘Sylt dune landscape’ by Nordlicht Atelier

These watercolours are a particularly valuable piece of family history for me. They come from the estate of my grandfather, who loved the northern island of Sylt with every breath he took throughout his life. He not only holidayed there, but also studied, understood and artistically captured the Frisian landscape in all its facets. With a rare devotion to subtle nuances, he captured on paper the northern light that can only be found on Sylt. The loose watercolour technique allows the picture to breathe and conveys precisely the peaceful tranquillity that one seeks on the North Sea. The fact that these private treasures of my grandfather now find their place in this gallery is an invitation to bring a piece of genuine, masterful painting into your home. It means a lot to me when these works reach people who appreciate the craft and Frisian nature as much as he did.

To ensure that the fine structures of the watercolour paper and my grandfather's gentle brushstrokes are perfectly rendered in the art print, the original was digitised in high resolution and post-processed.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
