Tarbat Ness Lighthouse stands at the very tip of the Portmahomack Peninsula, just above Inverness, Scotland.
This characteristic lighthouse with its two red bands was built in 1830 and is no less than 53 meters high. It is a fantastic example of a so-called Stevenson Lighthouse. In the 19th century, the Stevenson family provided beacons for a large part of the Scottish coast on behalf of the Northern Lighthouse Board.
