Taupe and Gold Landscape Painting: Trees Reflected in the Lake by Surreal Media

A row of slender, bare trees stands on the bank of a still lake, and everything that appears above is reflected below. In the centre, a single tree still bears a crown of golden-brown leaves, like the last remnant of autumn. Behind the trees hangs a soft mist in which warm patches of light glow, like windows or sunlight breaking through the mist. The water reflects it all, in long vertical streaks of gold, taupe and pearly white. My favourite detail: a glimmer of silver, just behind the central trees, which is reflected in the water and catches the gallery light. And a delicate network of hairline cracks runs across the entire picture, like an old varnish.

This work reminded me of that quiet moment early in the morning, when a lake is still smooth and you can almost see your own thoughts reflected in it. It began with the feeling of looking back without wistfulness, calmly and clearly. The atmosphere is soft and warm, with muted earth tones and a cool silver touch. The work exudes calm and contemplation.

It is a digital artwork, styled to resemble an old painting with craquelure and soft, blending layers of paint.

In an interior, it brings a sense of tranquillity and space. It fits beautifully in a living room with natural materials, in a bedroom or a reading corner. For those who love walking by the water, autumn or the silence of nature, this is a window to the outside world that always remains serene.     Or take a look at: "Grijs Abstract Schilderij: Een Gouden Draad door de Stilte", a piece with the same understated tranquillity!
