An alley like there are thousands in the cities of the Netherlands. Photographer Bert-Jan de Wagenaar is always attracted to them. Although most of the inner cities have been renovated over the last decades, we often still find the old roughness in the alleys. Centuries old walls, neglected for years, create beautiful textures. The sightlines of a narrow alley give an exciting picture. Interesting details such as the gas lamp in this photo complete the atmosphere.
