Of course, this is another contribution to my series: Veggie Ladies. This time the orange is in the foreground with everything that goes with it: the whole orange, slices, blossoms and leaves. As always, I put everything together in a way that serves my purposes. The special emotional highlight in this picture was my idea to transfer the fruit (orange) into the fashion of the 50s, 40s and 30s. The orange slices become a delightful fascinator and the orange blossoms (multiplied and mirrored) become a bolero. In fact, the orange comes from China - so I'm not that far off with Thailand (it may also be an Indonesian woman). In any case, this picture transports a feeling of warmth (already because of the colours), of nostalgia (because of the fashion) and of beauty and paradise. No more and no less I wanted to bring into your hearts with this picture. It is a painting based on a photo (woman). The rest is photo collage and painting. Namaste.
