About the artwork

The painting 'The Ark' is mounted on a classic canvas with a stretcher frame and is characterised by its flawless compositional structure.

On closer inspection of the painting 'The Ark' one immediately notices the flowing dynamics within the motif. It seems as if several plate-shaped forms are merging and interacting with each other in an artful vortex. In the midst of this swirling action, the ship rests on the mountain like a resting pole. This ship is reminiscent of the biblical Noah's Ark. When the waters receded and retreated into the earth, Noah's Ark beached itself on the highest peak of a mountain and found its rest. The world around the ship was rearranged and reshaped in the hope of a better future for humanity.

The composition of the painting reflects the reshaping of a world after the Flood. This aspect is masterfully incorporated in the colours and forms of the painting. 'However, the Ark' can also stand on its own without referring to a specific story or tradition. It invites the viewer to find their own interpretation and immerse themselves in the abstractly shaped world of 'The Ark'.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
